ANTHEMUSA OUTPOST PLAYER GUIDE (Infinity Event)

August 10, 2018 by Paul Huck

ANTHEMUSA OUTPOST PLAYER GUIDE

“The facility is on full quarantine lockdown. Project: Reprise is contained and currently stable in a secured portion of the facility. However, with the recent glitches we’ve been having, I am concerned for the safety of the outpost, and even still the Human Sphere if this were to be unleashed before we have full understanding of how to control it.” – Druzo Blint – Head Researcher, Anthemusa Outpost to Nomad High Command

Send your team(s) to investigate the Praxis Black Labs research facility Anthemusa Outpost after intercepting a distress call coming from one of the lead scientists, Druzo Blint. Battle your way through the high security labs to discover what unique experiments Praxis has behind locked doors.

Important information about the Spring CONflagration

May 14, 2018 by rgtadmin

SPRINGCON is less than a week away, and here is some important information about it.

+ + + + + Where is it? + + + + +

MN State Fairgrounds Grandstand
1265 Snelling Ave, St Paul, MN 55108

The AOS and 40k GT are on the SECOND FLOOR of the Grandstand

+ + + + + Where should I park? + + + + +

There is a TON of FREE parking! Available parking is well-marked throughout the MN State Fairgrounds. On-street parking fills up fast but there are 2 huge lots practically on top of the Grandstand: Southwest of the Grandstand, north of the Coliseum (where the Midway usually is at the Fair) The new Fox Lot, where Heritage Square used to stand (northwest of the Grandstand) It’s always a good idea to have a back-up parking spot in mind, just in case “Plan A” is full when you arrive. Please refer to this MAP ( http://www.mnstatefair.org/interactive/maps/ )

+ + + + + Will there be food? + + + + +

YES! Smokey Joe’s will, once again, provide their outstanding board of fare for Fall ComiCon attendees! Located just outside the Education Building, a few steps west of the main entrance, you’ll have no trouble finding them…just follow your nose! You’ll find fresh-grilled goodies, salads, and ice cold drinks! Picnic tables are available for convenient seating outside and we’ll have benches just inside the entrance if the weather turns.

NO OUTSIDE ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES

No Smoking

No smoking is allowed at any Convention event at any time or in any location. You are welcome to step outside to smoke in designated smoking areas, but please be considerate of others when you do. This policy is in place not only for the comfort of attendees but also to comply with city ordinances prohibiting smoking at public events. Please comply with this policy; noncompliance may result in being ejected from the convention.

+ + + + + Are there ATMs available? + + + + +

YES! There will be an ATM machine available at the Main Entrance.

Dress in Layers, Bring an Umbrella – It’s May in Minnesota! Will it rain? Maybe. Will it be tropical jungle heat and humidity? Maybe.

Ch-ch-ch-ch changes …

March 10, 2018 by rgtadmin

Greetings to one and all!

Today we are announcing sweeping changes to the Renegade 40k Format.
The big picture changes are:

1. Primary Missions have been altered to be scored Progressively.
2. Sadly Table Quarters as a Primary Mission has been retired.
3. We now offer a new Primary Mission, “Supply Grab”
4. A reduction in points for army construction back to 1650 Points with 3 Detachments.

The reduction comes about again thanks to data collected at our last event.
“Naturally” completed games are those that get through Battle Round(Game Turn) 6 or Tabled/Conceded.
A total of 288 games were played (96 players, 6 games each).
60% of games (173) played FAILED to complete “naturally”.
25% Completed (72 Games) by Tabled/Conceded.
15% Completed (41 Games) by ending on Battle Round 6.
This was played at 2000 Points, and with 3 Detachments.

Compared to the previous year’s (7th Ed) Completed games of 90+% this represents a huge step back in game play for players. As such we have looked to returning to lower points to allow players to complete more games in less time and enjoy more free time between rounds without impacting the tournament schedule or trying to encourage players to play “faster” either through penalties or the use of a timing device.

More to come later today on the Missions themselves and how to score them. So stay tuned!
